Our Journey 2015

Follow us on what will be our 4th “Global Mission” to visit the eight children we sponsor through TEAR fund and special projects we have helped fund in Africa and South America. On May 2nd Dalaine and I will be embarking on a substantial world odessy …some 25 countries, 65 cities , 24 flights and 22 train rides. It should take 168 days. We are self funding the entire trip ourselves but if you’d like to help us with projects in the communities we visit please go to www.makemynamecount.org. Why Travel?

A lady talked to me on the street of my home town Oamaru (Population around 14,000), a number of years ago, and quite proudly stated that she had never travelled beyond a radius of 5 miles from her home.She was in her early 70’s and frankly if my car had of been available, I would have driven over the hill to see ” the promised land”!

She had missed so much of the world, the excitment, seeing new things, smelling and tasting different foods,experiencing new cultures.
To me it was sad…very very sad …what this lady had missed in her life….for whatever reason.

I love writing about the many towns, cities and countries I have had the priviledge to visit in my lifetime.

There are many amazing stories I want to tell, and over the next few months, you will hear some pretty incredible adventures, told in a way that I hope you will feel you were there with me!
